Dear Friends,                                                               No recriminations, last call

Yes, I know that none of them are going to be responding to my appeal. But isn’t there even just one Republican with a national reputation? Of course it won’t be anyone from the Administration, or Texas Republicans, Abbott, Ted Cruz, Chip Roy, etc., they are irredeemably corrupt. But someone, just one, willing to say, right now,

 from today I will work with anyone truly committed to counteracting catastrophic climate change, to saving lives, to preserving our world and all its species. I will acknowledge the overwhelming weight of real scientific research, and I will work for its support and dissemination. I will do my best to engage with it and understand it.

That’s all you need to say, is that so hard? No one asks for more. You know the scientific research is clear and overwhelming. You know that extreme weather events are becoming more frequent. You know that more people will die because of such events.

Have you looked at the videos from Texas. I feel guilty because I have had to turn away from some of them. How do you feel?
