Dear Friends, Stand with all who will stand for justice
Nancy Mace left a Congressional closed doors hearing with victims of Epstein and Maxwell early. She left in tears. Mace is a victim of sexual abuse including rape. She says that listening to the testimony of the victims was so overwhelming that she had an outright panic attack. She had to leave.
Mace has been attacked, mostly by Republicans, for trying to make the hearing all about her. How can they say this? Look at the videos of Mace leaving the hearing. Nancy Mace is a victim of the worst sexual assault. I cannot imagine her emotions as she listened to the relentless testimony.
At this point, four Republicans stand with all Democrats in support of the discharge petition put forward by Thomas Massie (R-Ky) and Ro Khanna (D-Ca): Massie himself, Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga), Lauren Boebert (R-Co), and Nancy Mace (R-SC). They need two more for the petition to pass.
I don’t know much about Massie, but I saw a joint interview with him and Khanna, and the two had a nice understanding of the weirdness of their coming together (Khanna, praising Massie “worried” that it would damage him in Republican circles, I like that kind of thing).
Greene, Boebert and Mace, in their different ways are among the worst of the worst.
But …
If they will stand with the victims of Epstein, Maxwell and the rich and powerful who abused them, truly stand with them whatever names emerge as guilty, complicit, or they knew what was happening … I will stand with them, Greene, Boebert, Mace, no questions, no insinuations, no references to anything else:
Nancy Mace, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert
Make us proud of you.
Love and solidarity,
Bobby
