Dear Friends,                                                       Long lost Monet masterpiece found

in Pool! Look at it! Love it! Long to see it back where it belongs in the Musée de l’Orangerie!

Ok, ok. But the poor President is being mercilessly trolled because, entirely predictably, his glorious new flag-blue Reflecting Pool is, as we speak, filling with algae. Yes, yes, one more time, he blew it. Yes it’s costing us a whole lotta lettuce and counting.

But he’s not killing people with this one. Trump loves killing people as long as his handlers can show him the killing as a video game. He also truly does love vanity projects, call them tacky, vulgar, fourth-rate Vegas if you will – I’d go a bit further but then I was raised on Nikolaus Pevsner – they don’t, on the whole, actually kill people. And don’t forget that useless spending does increase aggregate effective demand.

Stop the Ballroom and the Arch! Yes! But stop them by keeping him focused on them. He’s very forgetful, fill his mind with nothing else – maybe with a few pictures of the walls of the Kennedy Center thrown in – that could help with some other issues.

In the meantime, don’t forget that he and he alone in all his stupidity and incompetence, has given us a new and beautiful work by one of our favorite artists.

Love and solidarity,

            Bobby
