In case you didn’t know, Megan Rapinoe is one of the greatest soccer (football) players. She is also a fearless defender of minority rights, women’s rights, LGBTQ rights. She is a fearless, powerful, brilliant lesbian woman. So, of course, she stirs up implacable fear and hatred among all MAGAsters.

Megan just made a measured, even sympathetic, criticism of the men’s Olympic hockey team for going along with a gross misogynistic joke Trump made in a victory call with them, speaking to them as one Olympian to another. She said that in laughing with a clown they made themselves clowns. At least some of the team have acknowledged that.

A reactionary media presence known to be little more than a hate-machine, Megyn Kelly, who has always hated Megan Rapinoe for the above reasons, plus, also, the knowledge that Megan has truly achieved something, made what was even for her a step beyond in helpless malice. Look it up if you want to, but it’s not edifying. At the end she addresses Rapinoe directly: “Enjoy your bitter, bitter life.”

This must be one of the greatest self-owns ever. Find at random anything about Megan Rapinoe, and then about Megyn Kelly. Then forget about the latter.
