Over and over American presidents (not just Trump) have asserted that US and Israeli intelligence have determined that Iran is just one week away from … what? enriched uranium! a nuclear bomb! ballistic missiles! Inter-continental ballistic missiles! It’s always one week (look it up). I know nothing about how development of nuclear weapons and their “delivery systems” work. But is the week a key unit? Anyway, every time, they’ve been lying. Hardly worth mentioning: Trump himself, personally, obliterated all Iranian nuclear facilities back in, when was it, June, I think? Man, those Iranians are good, not only creating something out of nothing, but actual nuclear weapons, and next week!

The in just one week they will propaganda is part of the broad strategy of claiming that quite small nations are existential threats to the US of A, and it’s not just Trump, they’ve all done it:

By now it’s clear that the whole in just one week thing is a lie – it always is – but the reason for our attacks was that the Americans knew that the Israelis were about to launch attacks. So, well, you can’t just let ‘em get in ahead … Rubio has said this quite explicitly, with some ridiculous stuff about how if the Israelis had gone ahead on their own, Iran would still have counter-attacked US forces. So: we need to go in as well so that the Iranians have a legitimate reason to attack us. This guy’s all magnanimity!

The US attacked Iran because the Israelis were going to. Why did the Israeli government decide to bomb Iran without warning? When we say “Israeli government” we mean Netanyahu, and, as always, his motives center on keeping himself out of the slammer. At the same time, he does seem to have a broader idea about dealing with external enemies: eliminate them. This is the Crusader State idea. How many Crusader States are there today? In the present case it’s fair to say that Netanyahu wants maximum chaos in Iran, however many Iranians die whether from Israeli and US bombs or from civil violence. Anything that neutralizes Iranian power is good.

Netanyahu has a clear agenda. What does Trump want? Yes, he wants distractions, he, like his friend Bibi wants to stay out of the slammer. I agree with all the commentators who have stressed this. At the same time, I think that beyond all that is something worse. He enjoys inflicting pain so long as he can keep his puffy little hands clean. He enjoys human misery, pain and death, and he enjoys it even more when he, safe at Mar-a-Largo, can inflict it by the push of a button.

Trump MAGA toadies, sycophants, brown-nosing job seekers, last-gasp losers, and yes, genuine sadists, in office or out when will you admit that everything he says is a lie, that everything he does makes the world worse not better, that he is killing people, and many of them believed in him?

Have no shame, all you do for him is based on shamelessness, so now be shameless rats deserting the sinking ship. (I’m sorry, all rats, I have great respect for you, but this is the best image I can find, please forgive me.)
