Article I, Section 9, Clause 8: No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.

Interesting that the Founders were particularly concerned about Kings and Princes, rightly, I think, because bribery is always a key element of royal power. Ok, but that’s ancient history, more relevant is the Grifter in Chief’s love of royalty, and of the huge bribes he takes from them. No, wait a minute, doesn’t that mean that the Founders’ concern is quite up to date?

Well, anyway, if anyone asks you what an “emolument” is all you have to say is a $400 million air palace from the royal family of Qatar to the President of the United States.

What’s the point? Nothing’s going to happen. Just another day in the Trump family grift machine. No one’s going to stop it, Republicans will go on about the Biden crime family – and let me say, I have never been a Biden fan, but the ability of the Republicans to poison his name with lies is an abomination, made worse by the failure of Democrats at all levels to condemn the lies. The Democrats will make statements. They may make motions in Congress bound to fail.
